Busy, Busy, Busy

I can't believe it's been this long since I've wrote on the blog. A lot has happened. Jesse's play was wonderful. She and the other kids did a fantastic job on it. All of them had their lines down. They had a great time after the play just playing and running around.

tanner is still having seizures. He had two the other day and even quit breathing with the second one. I just know one day it's gonna kill him.

I had my birthday on the 10th. I turned 41 this year. Ah where does the time go?
I've been giving Jesse her end of the year test this week. So far she's done good on the ones she has taken. Next week she'll be finished and we'll be out of school til August.

Well that's it for now. Talk to ya later

Tanner

As a lot of you know we have a Sheltie named Tanner. He's a goofy dog but I love the piss out of him. He's a loving dog and loves Jesse. She bugs the hell out of him and he never bites her and loves to play with her. Bob gets him going too. He likes to grab his pants leg and tear holes in them. LOL
But he started having seizures a few months ago. I called the vet about it a few minutes ago and they recommend having him put to sleep./ That's tearing me up. I hatew to think of it but I know he's just suffering when he goes through one of them. They're getting woirse too. So now we have to make a decision.

Talk later guys.

Derby and Rain

Well this week has been all about the KY Derby coming up on Saturday. It'll be the 135th run for the roses. So of course Krogerr is busy making the garlands. I hope it doesn't rain. It has been some this week and it's in the forecast. Let's hope the weathermen are wrong. I don't go to it. I have lived here all my life and never been to a derby. I just don't have any desire to go up there among the madness.

Worry

Hey everyone. Well most of you know I homeschool Jesse. I've been homeschooling her since she was three. Of course 'officially' it's been about 4 years. Our school year will end June 12 and I'm already worried about next years curriculum. A wonderful Mom and Friend, Michelle, had us over and let me go through her stuff and she gave us a lot. As a matter of fact I have just about everything for next year. I guess a health curricula is the only thing I'm missing and I don't know if I have to teach it or not every year.
I drive myself crazy about this every damn year. Am I teaching her the right things, what should I buy and on and on it goes. So this year I'm not going to stress out about it as much as I usually do. That's what I'll keep telling myself anyway. LOL

She's doing good in all subjects except for math. So now I'm faced with this question, to advance her to 5th grade or keep her back? I'm totally arguing with myself on this one. Of course Bob says do what you think is best. Jesse is just tee totally pissed off about it. She was so mad at me when dshe heard me talking to her daddy about it. So solution still not found.

Oh well enough for today.
Take care

Rain Rain go away

It's been raining for two days now. It's doing the grass wonders, growing and will probably have to get the mower out this weekend.
Last night Mom and Chester came over for dinner. IJesse and I fixed lasagna and salad. We had garlic bread to go with it. Mom brought a peach cobbler. It was very nice and she even complimented me on the lasagna. LOl

That's about it my hum drum life. Take it easy

Comments and such

Hey all. I know it's been a few since I've been here to write anything. But thought I'd hop on and write a few things.
Not much going on right now. The doctor took me off the insulin and put me on pills. My sugar has gone down but it's still too high. I hope it keeps going down. I think he'll increase the dosage when I go in next month. I started alpha lipoic acid supplements too. Michelle from crafty scraps blogged about how it had helped her so I figured what the hell I'd give it a try. I haven't been on it long enough to tell yet but hopefully it will help. I think I'm going to start taking Estoven again too. It helps with the freakin night sweats and all the other lovely things that go along with menopause. JOY JOY JOY. You know what I'm talking about.

I also wanted to give DSG a shout. Thanks to the fantastic ladies who run it for making it an AWESOME site and the wonderful ladies who comment their asses off on the beautiful LOs that are posted everyday.

See ya

Sunday

Hey everyone. I know it's been a while since I've been here but thought I'd post something.
It's freakin 71 degrees here in KY today. There was tornado watches and warnings and some storms. Thank goodness we just got a little storm here.

I haven't really been up to anything but doing some LOs for DSG. I pretty much just go there now. Some of the other sites are getting bored. At DSG the gals leave wonderful comments on the LOs all the time and we carry on and are a bunch of Goffy Dorks there. I have a lot of comments and at the other sites I haven't got close to what I have there. I try to leave comments on the sites but when you don't get any you don't care I guess. But I really love the DSG site.

Tomorrow is another drama club meeting. They're going to read through the play again and suppose to bring what costumes or outfits they have from home. So it should be a fun oine.

I Guess I'm a Bad Blogger

It's been a while since I've been here to write anything. It gets discouraging when no one stops in though and says HI. I try to also but I know life gets in the way.

Jesse's drama club is full steam ahead for the play. It may be called Just Imagine or The Daydreamer. Their not sure yet. She's having fun though and she's so expressive. I just can't believe it really.

Other than that nothing's going on. Just boring old stuff.

365 Project

Well I don't think I'm gonna put anymore of the 365 LOs on the blog. It's too time consuming for one thing so I'm calling it quits with posting them.

Thanks are slowly getting back to normal around here but I'm still not back in my normal routine.

Lynn did the ADSR challenge 10 and she had to ask me questions and do a LO. She did a fab job on it. It's really awesome.

Ice Storm of 2009

Well it's been a hell of a ride this week. Monday we had an ice storm to hit. We got about three inches of ice here. Then it snowed a little. We didn't get as much as they thought we would. Thank goodness for that.

The power went out Tuesday night. So no heat or lights and of course no internet. LOl I missed it some but not as bad as I thought I would. Thankfully we had a kerosene heater and that was a lot when there's no heat at all. Of course we had food in the freezer and fridge. So I was worried about that and the fact we couldn't drink the eater. I had ran three gallons as soon as the power went out though. I also ran water through the good old Bunn coffee maker to get a pot of coffee and put it in the carafe for the next day. I gotta have my coffee. I am very grumpy without it.

I was running low on kerosene and had a half tank and my little brother said well hell that'll only last 6 hours. So he brought me some up Wednesday night. He filled the heater and left me some. Then I talked to Bob and he was close enough that he said he thought they'd let hi come home. So he got home about 1 am. I feel a lot safer when he's around. He had to go out though so Jesse and I went to Mom's to stay. We got a shower and god that felt so good. I took what we had in the deep freezer over to her house. She cooked all of it. I was so glad it didn't go bad. That was a relief.

Kentucky has been called a disaster area now though. The govenor called the National Gaurd out and they were suppose to start checking door to door today to check on people. Western KY got hit the hardest they said. Tree branches are down everywhere and electrical poles have been snapped in half and we saw one that had been broke in three parts. It was just unreal when I first saw all of it. It's amazing what mother nature can do. I feel so sorry for the lineman out there fixing the lines. And anyone else in it that's helping folks out. The American Red Cross has set up two or three shelters here in the county to help out too.

But we're home now and have heat and can use the water but still have to conserve on it.
